Art in the Park: Macramé Plant Hanger

Macramé has been popular for centuries. It is a versatile form of textile art that uses knotting techniques to create beautiful, functional pieces. In this beginner-friendly course, you’ll learn how to make a plant hanger using simple, yet stunning knots and patterns. All materials are provided.

This class is free and all materials are provided.

This program is a partnership between Shelby Park Community Center, Friends of Shelby, and Little Art House Foundation.

Class Requirements, please read carefully:

  • Participants must be 15 years or older to attend.

  • Classes are limited to 15 students. Register to guarantee your spot.

  • If you are registered and cannot attend, please cancel your registration.

  • If you are registered, more than 5 minutes late, and the class is full, you may lose your spot to a walk-in.

  • Walk-ins are welcome, but we always encourage you to register to guarantee your spot.

  • The classroom opens 5 minutes prior to class. If you are early, please wait in the lobby or hallway.
