Give new life to old papers by creating a handmade junk journal with a fun tab book binding. You’ll transform recycled papers, book pages, envelopes, and other found materials into a unique journal while learning an easy tab-binding technique. Leave with a one-of-a-kind keepsake that’s perfect for journaling, collage, sketching, or collecting memories.

Students may bring:

• Old books, magazines, or printed papers to repurpose.

• Envelopes, receipts, tickets, or other paper ephemera.

• Scrapbook paper, wrapping paper, or decorative sheets.

• Stickers, washi tape, or other embellishments.

• Any personal items you’d like to include in your journal.

This class is free, and all materials are provided at no cost to you.

This program is offered in partnership between the Nashville Public Library and the Little Art House Foundation.

A few things to know before you create with us!

• This class is open to participants 15 years and older.

• Space is limited to 15 students, so we encourage you to register early to save your seat.

• Plans change, and that’s okay! If you’ve registered and find you can’t make it, please cancel your registration so someone else can take your spot.

• Walk-ins are always welcome. Registering ahead of time is still the best way to guarantee your seat.

• The classroom opens 5 minutes before class begins. If you arrive early, feel free to relax in the library while you wait.
