Covenant Offerings

We’re here with you and want to help.

While we cannot comprehend what it feels like to go through a tragedy like the shooting at Covenant School March 27 2023, we do know the power of art making for healing and rebuilding positive experiences. It is also something we are more than ready to provide at no cost to you.

All materials and teachers’ services are covered by Little Art House Foundation.

These offerings are for students who attend The Covenant School, for children of staff members who work for The Covenant School or the church, and for family members of either (siblings who may not currently attend The Covenant School.)

Trauma Informed Art Therapy Group

Art Therapy teaches kids how to express and understand their difficult emotions through art. Following traumatic events, it can be especially beneficial for children who may have a more difficult time verbalizing their feelings. This specially formed closed therapy group will focus on helping your child creatively interact with their difficult emotions allowing them to reframe and explore traumatic experiences in a safe and supported creative environment.

We require that you and your child attend an initial consultation session with one of our clinicians prior to participating in group therapy. This allows us to get to know you and your child, learn where what supports are needed, and develop individual clinical goals and expectations.

Art therapy, also called expressive or creative arts therapy, is the creative and expressive process of art making to improve and enhance the psychological and social well-being of individuals of all ages and health conditions. To find out more about art therapy please visit the American Art Therapy Association.
